The Exploratorium: Art & Science Of Asking Questions

Today we are exploring the art and science of asking questions through the lens of the exploratorium. The Exploratorium is a museum of science, art and human perception in San Francisco founded in 1969 by Frank Oppenheimer. The Exploratorium's mission is to create a culture of learning through innovative environments, programs and tools that help people nurture their curiosity about the world around them.

First we speak to Dr. Dennis Bartels, the Executive Director of the Exploratorium.

Then we speak with acclaimed science writier KC Cole about the man behind the Exploratorium in her latest book, Something Incredibly Wonderful Happens: Frank Oppenheimer & His Astonishing Exploratorium.

Last, we speak to Kyle Wiens of ifixit, who is applying the values of the exploratorium by making it easy for anyone to repair their own electronics.
